Juhani Lummelehto

Hi!

I’m Juhani Lummelehto, Senior DevOps Specialist at Northcode. In my role, I combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of development culture and the developer experience. I aim to make things run like a well-oiled machine, which requires not only a thorough grasp of the current environment but also an awareness of external constraints on the development team. Each project presents its own challenges, and finding the right solution is where my experience and vision come into play. This is what I enjoy the most.

The people you work with make the company, and my decision to join NorthCode was easy. I already knew several members of the team, and after our first face-to-face meeting, I knew I had made the right choice. I immediately felt comfortable with the group and understood the team’s chemistry.

My best days at work are when we make breakthroughs—whether it’s solving a complex technical issue or finding the right human-centered approach to a problem. The interactions with teams and stakeholders keep me motivated, as we’re building solutions for people, whether it’s applications or development platforms. One unique aspect of NorthCode is our collaborative approach to company strategy, with everyone actively involved in shaping our direction. It’s great to see that in action.

Our team is diverse, both in background and in interests outside of work, and I’m proud to be part of it. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and dog. We’re all passionate about live music and good food. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies, whether it’s low-and-slow barbecue in the summer or exploring new flavors with woks in the winter.
