The moment I knew I'd made the right decision to work here was like a breath of fresh air after years in my previous job. I'd been with a big company for what felt like ages, doing the same thing over and over. I had become an expert in my specialized area within the telecommunications field, but it was starting to feel a bit like Groundhog Day.

Then, I took the leap to join this consultancy company, and it was like stepping into a whole new world. The variety of industries I got to dive into was mind-blowing. I mean, who knew I'd be learning for example about banking and financials on top of telecom? So I welcomed the new challenges as an opportunity to learn about other industries and ways of working in customer companies.

But what really sealed the deal for me were the people. My new colleagues are highly skilled professionals, always willing to help and share their expertise. They're not just coworkers; they're a friendly group working together. This feeling of teamwork and the ongoing chances for growth and development are what make this place a great fit for me. It's the combination of challenge, teamwork, and learning that keeps me enthusiastic about coming to work daily.

The best day at work was when I met all my new colleagues, and we had a blast getting to know each other. We had a fun-filled day of introductions, and it all wrapped up with an informal dinner and sauna event. The whole thing was so relaxed and welcoming that it felt like we'd been a team forever. One thing that can only happen here is how we make decisions together. Unlike my previous experiences, here, we all have a say when it comes to benefits and policies. It's not just handed down from the top; we all sit down, discuss, and reach a consensus. It's like we're all on an equal playing field, and everyone's opinions are respected. That's pretty unique and something I really appreciate about this place. What I'm most proud of here is how we treat one another. It's not just about our decision-making culture; it's the genuine care, respect, and support we show to each other every day. It's like we're one big supportive team, and that's something truly special to be a part of.

Outside of work, I have a bunch of hobbies that keep me busy. During the summer, you'll often find me out orienteering and playing disc golf. I'm really passionate about disc golf, and I've even taken on the challenge of playing it wintertime, meaning in the snow – it adds a unique twist to the game!

Recently, I've also dived into the world of Raspberry Pi and home automation. It's a new hobby of mine, and I'm excited to see how I can make my home smarter and more efficient.

In the summer months, I like to try my hand at fishing with a spinning rod, although it's been more about catch and release lately. I've had a few encounters with perches so far this summer.

In the winter I enjoy cross-country skiing, although I'll admit I could be more active in that area. And when I'm just looking to relax, I like to read a good book. I'm particularly drawn to books about Finland's history and biographies. It's a diverse set of interests, but it keeps life interesting!
